It seems apparent that this past weekend, a few Dallas artists flooded social media with fresh new music, hot off the press. Dallas music fans were blessed with more than earful of faultless music. For a consumer of local music, the pride I have for the city radiated through my portable speakers and filled the weekend. Artist Devy Stonez releases a contemporary jazzy single with the help of Boy Jugo titled 10am, out now on select platforms.

When listening to this track, I reminisce on the 90’s when I would ride in the passenger seat with the windows down on Greenvile Ave, listening to 107.5 The Oasis on the radio, the popular smooth jazz station at the time. Courtesy of the musician Boy Jugo, the soulful, jazzy overtone laid over the infectious simplicity of a hip hop beat combined with Devy’s masculine, raspy voice and flow, smooth as a 3rd coast playa, results in a satisfying finished product.
