Nothing was going to stop Dallas recording artist Tay Money from releasing her brand of catchy, 808 thumping songs with the abundance of sassiness that compels her fans to shake their asses during the quarantine. In the latter half of last week, Tay Money released her latest album, Blockedt, across multiple DSPs. The Tay Money army couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas gift. The colorful and spunky Texas recording artist stays in her bag in this album as she continues her reign of heavy southern influenced, 808 filled, dance beats with her own flavor of the classic Dallas flow. In contrast with her some of her earlier projects, there’s a bit more attitude that brings more energy throughout the album. The Right 1 is a track that possesses the “ tough girl” vibe as Tay Money expresses that if you want trouble, she’s the “right one” to provoke. Friendly featuring Key Glock is another track that I am in favor of; Tay Money’s disdain for questionable women with ulterior motives and a Key Glock verse is the perfect recipe for a club banger.
Blockedt is an album that contains nothing less of hit after hit. Tay Money is very talented in making hit records so it comes as no surprise that she continues to stay in the bag. Her strategic releases leading up to her album release with the music videos that showcased the amazing visual quality behind it was a smart move and her fans enjoyed the anticipation. This album, along with all of her music, is perfect for live events and due to unfortunate circumstances, it will be a while longer before her fans are able to see her on stage again.
