WTF has Ashxs been up to?

What I admire about the Fort Worth native wild child and artist, Ashxs, is that there are various aspects that formulate itself into who he is, from what I have observed. Through music, these aspects are shown ranging from his vulnerabilities, his level of self and environmental awareness, the sense of comedic value in his content and wit all nestled in a envelope and sealed with a fun and energetic spirit. He is the living embodiment of a contemporary free spirit that is result of the youth’s generation. A few days ago, Ashxs messaged me about acquiring a picture I have shot of him last year. In my opinion. it was the perfect portrait of the artist. It is the picture I chose to as the header this article. Although I responded to the message some time later, being busy with life, a thought enter into my train of thoughts; WTF has Ashxs been up to lately?

Aside from checking out his stories on Instagrams, I noticed his latest releases, Burn it Down ep available on Soundcloud and the Something Cold video, shot by REEL BUMP. The visual for Something Cold is visually attractive in the material world; the pleasures of the living the high life on a yacht doing somersaults and swanton bombs in a large body of water with friends and the flex that comes with it.

Burn it Down is an ep Ashxs released on Soundcloud a day ago. It is a body of work that Ashxs states it has been completed over a year ago and but it still holds its relevance and it speaks in the present time. Five tracks and just shy of 14 minutes, Ashxs presents a body of work that features producer Deluzion as the sole producer of this project. That explains why sonically this ep maintains a consistent vibe and flow. Deluzion showcases his brand of beats that fuses element of industrial rap, metal, and trap into one to create this particular experimental sound. Ashxs’ lyrical assault is fitting; anti-government views, anarchistic statements, arson, just a few examples of what to expect to hear. With the right amount of sauce, Ashxs is an artist that will compel you to listen to him bar for bar then headbang to double pedal chaos.
