Guess what?! It’s the first of the month. Wake up and don’t forget to pay the rent. I don’t know if its me but it feels like I just paid last month’s rent. August is one of the longest months in the year, yet it went by faster the the wild horses in New Mexico. Other than talking about bills, the weather is a bit more decent today, we got hardcore tonight in Fort Worth. Also, tickets are on sale today of a prominent northeast coast hardcore band and DFW’s favorite hardcore punk band is rumored to have new music on the way.

OUT 4 BLOOD and Free 4 All invade Haltom Theather

Minnesota’s finest OUT 4 BLOOD and Identity Crisis will be in Fort Worth for their second stop on their 4 day run through the south. Alongside OKC hardcore band Free 4 All and California’s Dispersed, tonight is a highly anticipated show at the Haltom Theater. Judging from their recent live footage at White Rock Lounge via Twitter, I would make a clear assumption that the Twin Cities representatives are coming to the south strapped with some serious energy. With the local support from Cold Case, Ritual Abuse and Grimoire, tonight is going to be one heck of a show to say the least. Make sure to tap the image above to get your ticket.

Pain of Truth comes back to Texas, tickets on sale now!

Your current favorite east coast band Pain on Truth is back in Texas ( remember March 2022 when they played at the 817 venue I refuse to mention) on their Not Through Blood record release tour. These NYC princes are set to saddle up and head on down the trail to the south later in the fall season, so its only right that we show them what a rodeo looks like. I’m not sure how often east coast bands come this far south but when they do, we are certainly grateful. For those who live in Denton, they get to see New York’s OG powerhouse KING NINE blessing the stage by bringing the rage. Along with Life’s Question, Hold My Own and Vomit Forth, I predicted this is going to be an unforgettable show. Gagging Order releasing new music??

Casually scrolling through Twitter, I find some of the most uninteresting posts. Not today. One of DFW’s favorite hardcore punk band Gagging Order is rumored to have some new music on the way. The post raised a bit of curiosity, urging to find out what it sounds like. After reaching out to a trusted and reliable source, I was able to hear what was cooking up in studio. Needless to say I was beyond impressed as anticipation began to brew. Without saying too much, fans of GO while notice a significant change in style and tone. Although there’s a song or two catering to their older sound, the new music presents the Mr. Hyde version: 2x the amount of aggression with a downright mean overtone. Accompanied by some powerviolence elements, their new sound is certainly thicker and beefier. I advise their fans to get ready to mosh like their life depended on it.

Fortunately, you don’t have to wait much longer so see them live. On September 14th, Gagging Order will open up for California’s beloved HC superstars Scowl, alongside Militarie Gun and MS Paint as they hit the trail back to Texas to the famed Cheapsteaks in Deep Ellum.
