New music from S3nsi Molly, Cold Shoulder and Lil $ega

Alrighty folks, I’m back at it with music reviews of music that I am currently listening to. I took a little bit of time off to focus on other things but here I am. For those who don’t know, I review music that I am a fan of. It would make no sense for me to review music that I do not like or do not listen. Mama always said, “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it”. Without further ado, let’s jump into what’s been buzzing in my ear.

S3nsi Molly latest album, 50 Shades of Paid

I believe it’s about time to give credit when its due. I have been aware of Arlington hip-hop artist S3nsi Molly for the past few years and have witnessed her growth along with her work ethic and accomplishments that the artist has achieved. It comes as no surprise to me that she is at the level that she is in her career, as a matter of fact, I believe S3nsi deserves a ton more recognition. Her natural flow and raspy seduction cater to her originality, thus making her a continual rising star.

Her latest album, 50 Shades of Paid, is a special release for a couple of reasons. The album was released on her birthday, February 5th. At the time of the release, she was celebrating her 23rd birthday enjoying the beautiful weather in Mexico. This album is marked as her first independent album since she has left her previous label. Coming in hot with 21 minutes and 10 songs deep, 50 Shades of Paid contains no features, all bars and is nothing but heat for this winter season: independency at its finest. S3nsi sticks to her cadence that catapulted her to where she is now. What I admire about her style is no matter the beat, she maintains the composure behind the instrumental; it exhibits a level of unmatched confidence that an average listener can detect. S3nsi has no problem staying true to her flow that captivates her fans, song after song. There’s a bit of versatility in the beat selection of this album that I really enjoyed. Some would probably say that compared to her previous work, 50 Shades of Paid is toned down a little bit, but it doesn’t take away from how raw it is. As a matter of fact, this album is a bit easier to listen to, heightens the catchy element and is also a little easier on the speakers. It gives the listener’s ear a bit more clarity to her sound, thus making it more digestible for new fans to flood her streams

Cold Shoulder- Misery

New Age Records Toronto Hardcore band Cold Shoulder has reached my radar over the past week. Cold Shoulder possesses a nice blend of the fast paced, energetic punk/thrash background with a metallic hardcore overtone, perfect for an abundance of stagedives and some good ole hard moshing. Given the fact that the band is from Toronto, you are able to detect the Comeback Kid/ No Warning influence. Courtesy of the New Age Records Instagram , I tapped into their latest single, Misery, the second single from their upcoming LP, Primal Fury, that is available now for pre- order. Lil $ega- No Percentage

It’s 2022 and Lil $ega is back on his bull@#$&, the right way. The DFW hip- hop artist never cease to flex his artistry in witty punchlines, slapstick delivery and sporadic flow that would make a great fit for an Adult Swim soundtrack. Lil $ega’s latest single, No Percentage, he maintains his composure as he effortlessly executes what he does best. With the beat that can rattle icicles, Lil Sega wastes no time spitting bars while maintaining his level of cool. Shot and directed by Lil TwentySeven , No Percentage contains various scenes that indicated it was shot in the heart of Dallas as expected. Aside from the couple of outfit changes, variations of cool transitions and even cooler location shots, Lil $ega continues his reign in delivering his brand of art behind his slim frame and golden smile.
