Josh Gotti- Episode 1 shot by Skrats Media

Josh Gotti is a conceptual ep that features Josh Young’s love for mafia movies such as Goodfellas and The Godfather, those of which inspired his creation behind the unfolding storyline that initially put vice grip on my attention span in January. Shot by Skrats Media, Episode 1- P’s is the visual representation of Josh Young’s modern dramatization of a mafioso predicament soon to be revealed in the later episodes. The beginning action scene leaves fans with questions as Josh intended: strategically, it serves as the primary ploy to reel the audience in. Josh tells Bored that mafia lifestyle asserts the type of dominance that he has an artist. “People aren’t as gangsta as they presume themselves to be, kind of like “let me show you how it’s done”.

In the making of Josh Gotti, Josh expresses a more personal reason behind the inspiration of his ep, “…after I partied ways with Gwap Gang, I was able to focus in and decide what goes on the tape and that’s when the [Josh Gotti] series came into play. The inspiration for the music came from me being pissed off and it’s making a statement that I’m here to stay and no one can take that away from me”. Josh’s delivery is distinctively relentless as it provides non stop thumpers with mini skits in between to showcase an entertaining aspect of his creativity, i.e, Hoodfellas feat Skrats and the ominous track Reaper feat Gun 40. The song Deep 3 proves itself to be the slightly aggressive continuation of his earlier single Deep 2. My personal favorite, Never, gets Bored’s stamp of approval as it reaches a level of solemnness to let his fans know he’s not here to play around.
