True Grit's debut single "Ain't No Way out now on Bandcamp

Folks, it’s time to slide into your boots, grab your cowboy hat and saddle up because we have a new hardcore band in town, and that band is called TRUE GRIT. Members of Ballista, Soledad, Black Sea and the founder, photographer and writer of Bored Magazine got together to whip up their debut single, “Ain’t No Way” out on Bandcamp
Ain’t No Way is quick to catch your attention as soon as it starts and it comes in hot and heavy like a stampede. Your ears are introduced to rhythmic ruckus that’s southern deep fried in the essentials of outlaw country. The louder and thicker characteristic comes straight from the modern hardcore punk handbook and leaves no room for BS, it couldn’t get anymore straight- forward. The first half of the song invites nothing short of the rowdy, cowboy spirit that’s exploding with energy and mischief. The second half of the song breaks into and mean 2 step jam, but not without the country twang to remind the listeners what True Grit is about. To top it off, the vocal style, heavily influenced by Boston hardcore bands Slapshot and Blood for Blood, and the clarity in the UK band Gallows (Grey Britain album) adds more character with an aggressive overtone and a bit of catchiness that’s perfect to sing along to. From a lyrical standpoint, the song speaks on the struggle of finding solace through life’s rocky road and maintains the strength necessary to live and fight another day.
