Das Glue presents StickTogether Playlist: DFW’s Urban and Contemporary

To be honest, this entire time we’ve been under quarantine, if I’m not at work, I’ve indulged myself in Spotify or Apple Music. Granted, I religiously indulged in music light years before everything going on but as of recent, it feels like I have gained extra free time. It helps that I finally have internet service out here in the country. Anyways, the key into my world of dream- like euphoria of music is my Apple AirPods I carry with me at all time. My fingers navigate through my world via one of the two platforms to introduce me to new sound waves. Time passes me up a little too much these days.

Recently, I was introduced to a local playlist that carries me into nostalgia and drives me towards new artists. Event curator Das Glue introduced me to his playlist titled Stick Together. This particular playlist features some of DFW’s finest in what I categorize as the“ Urban and Contemporary”. From alternative r&b, to progressive hip hop to stereo-thumping trap, this playlist is jammed packed with talented artist such as Coach Tev, Spike Chester, Big Kay Beezy, KAYWHT, Justin Christopher and so much more. A good handful of artist I haven’t heard of, that’s what I love about it. Discovering new artist is refreshing to say the least.
