New Band Alert! Denton hardcore band One in tha Chamber

Being apart of a music scene and it’s culture for over a decade is rewarding in the sense that there’s always new music, new bands which means new merch. The one thing I admire about the hardcore scene, as well as the punk and metal scene, is that any word of a new band spreads like wildfire across the nation, fast. Social media is obviously very helpful when it come to the masses I have a great recent example: it was mid to late April of 2019 when I heard of the Louisville hardcore band Inclination. I tuned in to their ep Midwest Straightedge and listened to it for a week straight. That following week, my Twitter was blowing with Inclination notifications. Before I knew it, the band ended up on many hardcore festivals, including This is Hardcore 2019. I don’t know about you but if I started a band early in the year and ended up on a festival as big as TIHC, I’d feel accomplished.
Denton Texas hardcore band One in tha Chamber released a 3 song ep early September. In my humble opinion, this is a true beatdown band, not to be confused with something like After the Burial/Veil of Maya type band. I listened to this one on heavy rotation all day for the past three days and was impressed. The demo starts off with the intro and tops it off with lyrics and gun violence…straight up gun violence. From there on, the project continues its Texas style of ignorance and heaviness with two more tracks. Overall this ep is HARD HARD, it’s in your face and it’s pretty mean. It’s possible that you might catch a flying back heel or a wild and aimlessly swinging back fist while listening to the ep. Personally, I always wanted to hear a definitive beat down band from DFW area and it looks like my wish has been granted.
