Chroma & A- Wall - Lemonade ft Pretty Boy Aaron

Prior to opening up the Spotify link to press play, I paid a visit to my favorite summertime fast food joint; Sonic Drive In. The extensive menu of drink choices including slushies and various promotional drinks that are only around for a limited time is what draws me in by my taste buds, awaiting my arrival to quench thirst. This summer Sonic is promoting the three layered summer beverage: Lemonberry Slush Float. For those who don’t know, the Lemonberry Slush Float is the equivalent to a perfect summer drink: from the bottom up is the tart and refreshing lemonade topped off with ice cold, creamy ice cream and fresh strawberries. After enjoying the beverage down to the last drop, I finally tuned in to the song, Lemonade.

I feel like it’s somewhat obvious as to why I visited Sonic first before pressing play, I want to properly align the vibe: beverage to song, song to beverage, you get my drift. In my opinion, it went hand in hand, considering my expectation for the song. Lemonade is as perfect of a summer song as much as the Sonic drink is, the comparison is identical. This track screams the perfect blend of indie and pop, with a splash of Hispanic culture and well placed hip hop by yours truly, Pretty Boy Aaron. This is undeniably a bop, it’s refreshing as temporarily getting away from life and its constant stress for a good three mins. It’s one of those tracks that has the great potential for commercial success of many levels; Sonic should definitely pick this one up and spin it a few times.
