“Niggas think shit sweet until I walk in with that Glizzy huh/ Bitch this ain’t no game, this my revenge, I’m getting busy, yuh

These couple of bars have been resonating through my head every since 500 Gwap Gang member Gwap Lvrd D released his latest ep, “Lvrd’s Revenge” earlier this week. In recent times. the word “ Glizzy” has been used to replace the all American hot dog. Yes, your eyes are not playing tricks on you, Surburbia, USA has referred hot dogs to “glizzies”. Don’t ask me how that came about, I have no earthly idea. To those that come from a different background, glizzy is a handgun, preferably a glock. In the case of Gwap Lvrd D, that’s the true reference of the song ( unless there is a sense of comedy embedded in this ep but I HIGHLY doubt it). Hands down, “Glizzy” is the most celebrated banger on this ep; it presents the grim reality that Gwap Lvrd D lives through as he lets the listeners know that shit isn’t sweet.

For the locals who aren’t fully aware of the wild and numerous 500 Gwap Gang, their musical direction gears towards extremely heavy usage of headbanging 808’s and amped up lyricism that’s capable of causing destruction in the mosh pit; Lvrd’s Revenge is no exception as it follows suit with the modern underground blueprint that the group the created for their selves. Gwap Lvrd D’s flow is distinctive from the his peers: slow, Southern flow with a deep Texas twang that isn’t hard to recognize. His flow flawlessly captivates the sonic properties on his beat selection; perfect to slow down and chop up for a muddy cup cocktail.

In my unbiased opinion, Lvrd’s Revenge is good for what it is and how it was presented; loud, raunchy lyricism, Gwap Gang sauce and dangerous for your ear drums and stock car stereo system. “Made Me” is another one of my favorite’s off the ep: the piano keys took place as a undertone in the instrumental fit the catchy hook like a shoe and the smooth flow/ ad-libs almost presented a faux- ethereal vibe. “ Move It” features Pheebz on the hook that could easily pass as a dance song for the ladies to twerk that ass to, equipped with Gwap Lvrd D dropping bars. “Bakwudbaby” starts off with piano keys that similar to early horrorcore/Three Six Mafia, followed by Gwap Lvrd’s semi sing a long verse.
