Alex Blair’s newest single, Delusional

DFW’s jazz vocalist Alex Blair releases a R&B bop that showcases an old school influence that’s capable of pulling you out of your seat and getting jiggy with it like it’s ‘97. Featuring Stone Mecca and Bobby Ray Sparks, Delusional is definitely a millennial banger.
Its been a good while since Alex Blair released her 2017 ep, Blayr. Some of the most organic DFW contemporary jazz / R&B I’ve heard was from her debut project but nonetheless, it’s history. Since then, Blair has been moving and grooving nationwide a handful of times and cruising on the tidal waves of life. Fast forward to the middle of 2020 and she releases “Delusional” on all platforms.
The cover art is cleverly nostalgic as it’s in sync with the lyrical tone of the track; the Alex Blair’s contemporary resurgence of Betty Boop. As Blair lays the sultry vocal track, she expresses the turbulent thought process of being on the receiving in of a one sided relationship, catered by her admirable vocal range. The Stone Mecca x Bobby Ray Sparks collaboration lead to the flawless production that resembled a funky, throwback, soulful jam session. Check out the single by hitting the button below
