Today is Memorial Day…but this weather forecast says otherwise. On a normal Memorial Day, the sun would’ve been screaming at the back of our necks as our attempt to stuff our mouths with a juicy meat (beyond meat for my vegans out there) patty, spilling ketchup on our paper plate or if you’re anything like me, you’ll find the condiments in your lap. Redux 3- The Crown
It’s reaching 1:30 am, you’re mildly intoxicated at a dive bar that you attend probably two or three times a month with your party buddies. The dive bar that you’re casually bumping into people in is normally filled with Caucasian men and women in their mid 20’s / early 30’s, the “cool” crowd that don’t engage in political conversations but on Facebook they support leftist ideologies. The same type of people that really can’t dance & don’t tip well. The dj is winding down from his coke high so he just plays whatever to let the crowd know it’s time to get the hell out. Suddenly you hear a song that isn’t quite indie but it has a nice bop to it. That’s the new Redux 3 by the one and only, The Crown Tx.
Heavily influenced by the psychedelic music project Tame Impala, Christian Win expresses that with Redux 3, the direction was to show how versatile the group can be, which creates potential to not only reach a wider audience, but keeps their current fans on their toes.
