There’s no doubt in my mind the DFW is one of the most dynamic and hardworking metroplexes in the nation when it comes to music. Considering the fact that I am a Dallas native, my previous statement is in the front line of being biased, especially those who oppose, aren’t from or don’t have much knowledge about Dallas. This past weekend, creatives of North Texas dropped some hot new flavor for your ear. Without further ado, let’s see talk about it:

Bobby Sessions: Level Up

HAIL THE MIGHTY YOUNG LEGEND OF DALLAS! Def Jam recording artist Bobby Sessions is one of the most powerful lyricist I’ve actually enjoy listening to. Revisiting his 2018 album and ep, RVLTN Chapter 1: The Divided States of AmeriKKKa and Chapter 2: The Art of Resistance, reminded me of why I’m a fan. From social conscious lyricism to eccentric flow switch, Bobby Sessions has a way of making his fans feel him. The Crown: Redux 1

If you don’t know by now, especially if you’re a DFW resident, The Crown is your new favorite rap group. Original styles, different personalities and a niche for making awesome music is the gorilla glue that molds this group together. Not only that, what sets them apart from others is their sense of humor and “ski mask” stage presence. Redux 1 is their newly released track that’s already considered a bop. As soon as you press play, the sample from female artist Eve’s smash hit “Let Me Blow Your Mind” chimes in and recording artist Christian :) aka Lil PPBoi doesn’t waste a second before he spits relentlessly, which is second nature to the New York born artist. Right after, Kawasaki follows suit and back doors with a nice delivery as he raps his butt off using many references that compels you to replay. Danny Goo: Still Dreaming

DANNY GOOOOOOOOO! Mr. Goo loves to show off his level of consistency in dropping emotional charged, good quality. The only thing that changed from the last time he released music was his hair length and his relationship status. Other than that, his signature emo/ indie pop love ballads is here to stay. In his new song “Still Dreaming” produceD by Jojo Centineo Danny questions his current state of my mind as his love interest resides in his constant, never ending train of thought.
