Xibalba’s newest track “ En La Oscuridad “

Let’s state the facts: Southern California’s Xibalba is STILL one of the heaviest bands in the current world of hardcore. Some may disagree but oh well, what can I say? Every album or ep they have released since their beginning has been extremely heavy, with their apocalyptic doom metal riffs and thunderous death metal influence. I thought it couldn’t get any better after they released Tierra Y Libertad, the 43 minute soundtrack from the depths of hell with the some the longest and most punishing breakdowns I’ve heard in a while. Fortunately, I was proven wrong in 2017 when the band released the three song Diablo, Con Amor…Adios.

Late March, Xibalba released a bone crushing single “En La Oscuridad” and the heaviness doesn’t cease. From the doomsday riffage to the colossal, Tyrannosaurus Rex death metal breakdown, the band sticks their auditory brutality.
