Vanguard’ s Rage Of Deliverance Ep out now

For over the past decade, the vegan lifestyle/ veganism has gained a tremendous amount of popularity. Regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, social class, the vegan lifestyle has converted a large amount of Americans to the healthier alternative. Vegan restaurants and plant based food companies are becoming more prominent all over the nation and bigger food corporations are adding vegan alternatives to their menus. All of this to say that at this point in time, people are aware of veganism and the health benefits that follow. Within the many Americans that now consider themselves vegan, there’s a number of vegans who take it to the next level: not only food products but products of any kind that contain traces of animal isn’t considered vegan. From furniture to clothing, hygiene products, etc. From there you have those to some people may call "extremist”, those who stand on the forefront of animal liberties and stand firmly behind the corresponding beliefs.

Enter Vanguard

The Texas vegan anti- fascist band Vanguard has finally released their ep, Rage of Deliverance, on multiple DSP’s. Rage of Deliverance is a very sincere record that is empowered by the epitome of straight forward, no bullshit, heavy hardcore. The message behind this record is clear enough to leave no room for misconception. The overall content in this record compels listeners to question their eating habits and display aggression and angst against human hypocrisy and consumption of animals. For fans that are new to Vanguard, the beginning narration in reference to Shakespeare’s King Lear and the ending message plays a huge role into understand the deep rooted philosophy of veganism that Vanguard upholds

Through the duration of the record, Vanguard is consistent with the satisfying heaviness that caters to the overall aggression alongside a number of melodic parts that proven to be perfect fit. There is so much depth into Rage of Deliverance, sonically and musically that you can’t help but to feel their uncompromising message. Six songs deep and just about shy of 19 minutes, I would consider Rage of Deliverance one of the hardest records of 2020. One of my favorite tracks on the record is Ascendant, fast hardcore hymn that comes equipped with a few tempos changes, a decent melodic part and a heavy breakdown and preaches animal liberation. Under No Pretext is also another good one that I enjoy; a socio political fast hardcore punk jam that switches tempo about half way through the song to a melodic mid tempo. I refuse to give up the entire breakdown of the ep for the new listeners so tap in by hitting one of the buttons for your preferred DSP
