Asia Kyreé latest album, Bad Guy, available now!

Over the weekend, Kansas City songstress Asia Kyreé has released her emotionally charged debut album, Bad Guy, available on multiple DSPs. The 23 minutes of Asia showcasing her own brand of contemporary, alternative R&B is more than enough to grab new fans; her sound is eccentric and distinctive which creates her own lane. With the combination of many of her influences, including 90’s R&B as a whole, it takes nothing for Asia to slowly infiltrate your ears and become apart of your music playlist.

Bad Guy is a testament to the fact that Asia is an uncut gem, a diamond in the rough, the underdog that needs no assistance, she can do bad all by herself if necessary. Sonically, the low pitch/frequency/tempo undertones that is prominent in her music is captivating, giving off a very smooth, “slowed” vibe ( I suggest listening to Asia’s music in studio headphones or in a SUV/truck with a decent stock stereo system for a different experience). I am impressed by the sound quality of this album as well; the sound of her vocals and the instrumentals are crystal clear and easy to the digest.

Favorite Tracks on Bad Guy:

Bad Guy: What I gather from this track is the aftermath of Asia grasping her dignity and being comfortable with the better version of herself while her former relationship/ courtship realizes what was lost and ultimately names her the “bad guy” for simply moving on and moving forward

Deep End: As previously written on Bored, Deep End is a smoother than molasses, slow tempo banger that presents Asia’s perspective of a turbulent relationship as her emotion are being dragged, taking her to the deep end.

Callin: This track is undoubtedly relatable as Asia sings about finding her peace and physically escaping an annoyingly toxic person, yet a little part of her awaits the call from that particular person as that someone is still on her mind.

You ft Hrtbrkjnz: This is the last song on the album and it contains a little different approach to love and relationships. You is brings forth heartfelt content of expressing your desirably needs to a love interest. To top it off, artist Hrtbrkjnz comes in clutch with standout verses that gives the track a little more flavor.
