Pat Ron releases new song “Smokepurp

It’s safe to say that in 2019, if you are from Dallas, and you are a local rap/hip-hop fan and you don’t know who Pat Ron is, then you are NOT from Dallas. It’s just that simple. Not long ago, I couldn’t say much. I’m late to discovering the Dallas artist but better late than never. Every since my first time watching him perform live at Project December last year, I have been fortunate enough to snap a few photos of him in action.
A brief moment at Project December
From his lyrical mastery, signature flow and contemporary hip hop beat selection, it’s evident that Pat Ron has proven himself to be one of Dallas’ finest. In his latest Dallas Observer article, he stated that he has sold 1,000 units on his own this year. Not a lot of local artists can say that they sold that many units in a year, at all. For Pat Ron, it’s easy to see how it happened. With a fan base that spreads across the nation, it’s not wonder how he sold that much.
A few days ago, he released the short but sweet “Smokepurp”. Just shy of two minutes, the song was released on SoundCloud. Listen to another example of Pat Ron’s artistry by clicking the link below.
