Alternative hip hop collective CHROMA releases their album “The Year of the Puma
Dallas, Tx hip hop collective Chroma recently released their album “The Year of the Puma” available now on all platforms.
Courtesy of Jonathan from Good Game Talent, I anticipated this release after the write up covering the Spanish infused hip hop song “Tierra”. The album contains 9 songs and 24 minutes of upbeat goodness. This talented trio lived up to my expectation. It contains a couple of features, including A-wall & Aisha Qamar. They are very talented in rapping with their effortless use of Spanish linguistics on the beats. The vocals are crisp and clear over the various instruments. You can easily distinguish their Latin heritage throughout the album with the usage of classic Spanish guitars. It gives the project a bit of flavor, its own creative seasoning. With tracks like “Been around” and “214” influence of early- mid 90’s era of hip hop shines through and gives “The Year of the Puma” a good amount of character. I enjoy how overall tempo of the album. It’s very enjoyable and it’s very pleasant. Visit them on:
