Danny Goo’s recent single/ video & upcoming show
Teenage heartthrob Danny Goo has been pretty busy lately. You have to admire his work ethic as he is constantly performing shows all over Texas. Recently, he released his single “Purple”, an emo love ballad that’s capable of hitting hearts of teeny boppers worldwide. His Brockhampton influences shine through as he possesses vocals equivalent to millennial emo/ pop punk bands of the 2000’s. I believe he does a good job at fusing elements of shoegaze, dream pop and alternative r&b. The sad boy/ lonely boy aesthetic is the cherry on top of the sundae as it meshes well with his tunes. “Purple” is available on all platforms, click image below to give it a listen.
Follow his single release is the accompanying video. This visual starts off with Danny sitting on the sidewalk plucking the yellow petals from a young sunflower reciting the classic “she love me, she loves me not” chant. From there, you’ll notice the aesthetic mentioned above as he casually sings his song at a local playground.
