FubuVibesBash 9/28/19

Deep Ellum was swarmed with idle pedestrians causing a ruckus as usual on the Saturday night. It’s absolutely normal to see beautiful woman crossing the street, groups of men lurking for women to harass, couples casually taking long strides to their next destination and packs of drunks stumbling around and laughing their asses off. The police presence was highly visible as they tried these best to patrolled the congested street.

Nevertheless, it’s home to me so it’s no surprise to find me there casually strolling on Main Street with my full frame Nikon camera. This time, I was invited to the Ruins to shoot photos for Fubu Vibes Bash, hosted by Meka Jackson. Accompanying me was local artist and should be comedian Christian Win. Christian wanted to me film him in the form of his alter ego Old Man Musty: the hilarious and raunchy grandpa with a slick tongue full of granddad jokes. The crowd at Fubu Vibes Bash was not only youthful but eccentric and energetic. So many different styles of fashion. So many different faces. No one looked the same. By the end of the event, people were spilling into the street and dancing the night away. Without further ado, down below for photos of the event.

SIDE NOTE: half way through the event , I got extremely hungry after two “cbd” pre rolls and hightailed it to Cafe Brazil. I apologize for the people I missed.
