Nekomimi releases NekoLand 999 on SoundCloud & Spotify

Hailing from Wichita Falls, female artist Nekomimi recently released her ep “Nekoland 999” available on SoundCloud and Spotify

Nekomimi brings the heat, brandishing her style of dreamy, ambient, cloud rap with the  heavy usage of 808’s with a glassy, atmospheric overtone. She makes sure that informs her listeners that she represents the Lone Star state: in “Asuka Langley Soryu”, she chants “25 lighters on my dresser” and the song “Karma Outro 999” is chopped and screwed. Her soft yet assertive vocals lay over the instrumentals. Her anime cosplay aesthetic caught my attention early on as I watched her perform only a couple of times.
